In 1998, a group of local volunteers in association with the Lincolnshire Mills Group, formed the Moulton Windmill Project. The Project is largely made up of local people who wanted to restore the Mill to full working order. They are supported in their work by the Friends of Moulton Mill who volunteer as guides, shop assistants and tea room staff.
Moulton Mill in the village of Moulton has recently been fully restored by the friends of Moulton Mill on a voluntary basis. The Mill has received national recognition. In order to start the process, Broadgate purchased the land on which the Mill stands and granted a long peppercorn lease to the mill; it continues to work with Moulton Mill to maintain its unique appeal.
